Calendar of Events

• Kenyon Carriage and Cutter Parade will be Saturday, February 25.

• “Urinetown the Musical”  Performed by Kenyon-Wanamingo high school students with a live small pit orchestra.  Showtimes: 7 p.m. Feb. 25 & 2 p.m. Feb. 26.  Admission: $8 adults, $5 students.  Where: K-W High School auditorium.  K-W Community Ed is offering a special to senior citizens (age 62 and over) for the Sunday performance. Seniors get in for just $1 and enjoy a dessert party afterwards. Call 507-789-7015 to pre-register with Community Ed by Feb. 21.

• The KW FFA Alumni will have a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, February 18 from 7 -10 am at the Wanamingo Community Center. It is free will donation. There will be door prizes. Proceeds will be used for scholarships.

• Nerstrand Elementary School PTO Playground Fundraiser Pancake Breakfast will be held Sunday, March 4, 2012 from 8:00 am-12:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church.  All you can eat pancakes. $6.00 adults • $3.00 children 10 and under.  All proceeds go to the Playground Equipment fund.

• Dennison Flake Out Festival, February 25, 2012.

• American Red Cross Blood Donation Opportunity: Goodhue County, February 21 from 9:00 am- 2:00 pm, Minnesota State College Southeast Technical College, 308 Pioneer Rd, Red Wing.

• 2012 Goodhue County Health & Human Services Immunization Schedule, located at 512 West 6th St., Red Wing, MN.  651-385-6100 or 800-950-2142.  Clinics are walk-in, no appointments are necessary.  January through July: 1st Tuesday every month from 1-4p.m.  August through December: Every Tuesday from 2-4p.m.

• Faith in Action Central Goodhue County offers transportation, respite care, friendly visits, library services, and many more options for people 60 years of age and older.  FIACGC also provides medical transportation for people on Medical Assistance who live in Goodhue County.  Please contact Marilyn Olson at 507-732-4445 if you would like to volunteer or need services.  FIACGC is located at 433 Mill Street, Zumbrota, MN 55992.
