Greetings, sorry it has been awhile since my last commissioners corner. It has been a busy summer and fall for all our staff, public works with various road projects, HHS with State and Federal mandates and the paperwork that goes along with their requirements is at times overwhelming. Our Sheriff’s staff and all the rest of our staff are all busy keeping us safe and moving our county business forward. We are still working towards the final budget levy amount. I wish that we could go without a levy increase but I do not want to cut or reduce any programs at this time. I hate to think that someday I may be forced to cut out some part of what the county currently provides for all of our citizens. Please keep a watch for our children going to school and the school buses on our roads, along with the harvest equipment and our farmers. We hear so much about the political polarization of our state and federal government but I want to ask all of our county to really look at the whole picture and what is truly important in the lives of our citizens. Needs and wants are sometimes lost in the discussions and can lead to arguments or worse. Remember we are all in this together. God Bless you all.
Commissioner Greseth
