To the Editor:
Thank you to all the local businesses, individuals and neighboring businesses who sponsored the 2024 Kenyon Rose Fest Old Car and Truck Show. There were $5,710.00 in donations in addition to three $100.00 gift cards given for the show. Every hour there were four to ten tickets drawn for $100.00 cash prizes from the sponsors and a $500.00 cash prize was drawn at the end of the show. The generosity and support from the Kenyon community is amazing! The car show banner and free donuts and bottled water were donated by local businesses for the car show participants. We had 181 entries in the show. The car show participants donated 150.2# of food in addition to giving cash donations to our local food shelf. They also supported the breakfasts and lunches that were being served and shopped the local stores and the vendors booths which were set up. A special thank you to Lee Sjolander for announcing the car show winners and for promoting all of the sponsors and for keeping the music going. Thank you also to everyone else who helped the day of the show. The car show would not have taken place without the support of all of the sponsors, so again THANK YOU to each one of you!
