Mark Edward Rumpho, age 67, of Missoula, Montana and formerly of Kenyon died on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Ridgeview Medical Center, Waconia, after an extended illness.
The Boldt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Faribault, are arranging private services for the family in the spring.
Mark was born on October 7, 1958, in Faribault, Minnesota, the son of Morris and Blanche (Miller) Rumpho. Mark graduated with the class of '77 from Kenyon High School, earned his bachelor's degree in history from the University of Minnesota, and took classes towards his master’s degree at the University of Montana in Missoula. It was while living in Montana and working for the city of Missoula that Mark developed a love for the outdoors and became an avid fisherman.
Mark is survived by his brother Andrew Rumpho of Rochester, and sisters Ann (Jim) Heckert of Faribault, Beth (Greg) Ellerbusch of Faribault, and Mary Rumpho-Kennedy of Baxter. He is also survived by several nieces (Amber, Maia, Jena and Sara) and nephews (Jake, Zach, Caleb, Alex, Bryce and Curran), and great-nieces (Hannah and Ella) and great-nephews (Liam, Caden, Colton, Carter, Daniel, Nolan, Nicholas and Kieran).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Blanche and Morris, and his brother-in-law, Robert Kennedy.
